At Libicar, we value your trust and aim to provide the best car rental experience with transparency and fairness. This Refund and Returns Policy outlines the terms under which customers may request cancellations, refunds, or returns related to our rental services.


1. General Policy Overview

Once a booking is confirmed and payment is made, it is considered a binding agreement between the renter and Libicar.
However, we understand that unforeseen circumstances may occur — therefore, we offer a fair and flexible refund policy under specific conditions described below.


2. Booking Cancellation & Refund Eligibility

a. Cancellations Made by Customer

  • More than 72 hours before pickup time:
    Eligible for a full refund, minus a 5% processing fee for payment gateway and administrative costs.
  • Within 24–72 hours before pickup:
    Eligible for a 50% refund of the total rental amount.
  • Less than 24 hours before pickup:
    No refund will be issued, as the vehicle has been reserved and prepared for you.

b. No-Show Policy

If the customer fails to collect the vehicle at the agreed time and location without prior notice, the booking will be marked as a no-show, and no refund will be issued.

c. Early Return of Vehicle

Returning the vehicle earlier than the agreed rental period does not qualify for a refund of unused days.


3. Cancellations Made by Libicar

In the unlikely event that Libicar must cancel a booking due to vehicle unavailability, maintenance issues, or unforeseen operational reasons:

  • The customer will be offered an alternative vehicle of similar or higher class, or
  • A full refund of all payments made will be issued within 3–7 working days.

Libicar will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss caused by such cancellations.


4. Refund Processing

All eligible refunds will be processed using the original payment method (e.g., credit/debit card, bank transfer, or e-wallet).
Please allow 3–7 working days for the refund to appear in your account after approval.


5. Security Deposit Returns

A refundable security deposit is required for all rentals.
The deposit will be refunded within 3–5 working days after vehicle return, provided:

  • The car is returned in the same condition (no damage, clean, and full fuel tank as per agreement).
  • There are no outstanding penalties (traffic summonses, tolls, late return fees, etc.).

If any deductions are required, Libicar will provide an itemized breakdown and deduct the necessary amount from the deposit.


6. Damage, Accident & Misuse Policy

Refunds will not be issued if:

  • The vehicle is damaged due to negligence, reckless driving, or unauthorized use.
  • The customer fails to comply with rental terms (e.g., unapproved drivers, off-road use).
  • The car is impounded or seized due to violation of local laws.

In such cases, repair and penalty costs will be deducted from the security deposit, and additional charges may apply.


7. Special Promotions & Discounted Bookings

Bookings made under promotional offers, discount codes, or special packages are non-refundable once confirmed, unless cancellation is made by Libicar due to unforeseen reasons.

9. Policy Amendments

Libicar reserves the right to modify or update this Refund and Returns Policy at any time without prior notice.
